To catch a spider

When turning the tap to get some water we found a little friend trying to get out the sink.

We let incy go in the end :)

Hang-er-ing around

It's not a bad job when you get to go into an aircraft hanger for a meeting and then get to look around.

Pretty cool.

A day at the farm

We were at a farm day this weekend. Wellies on. Mud everywhere. Cows mooing. Sheep baaing. Tractors left out for kids (and adults) to climb in. and the sun was shining.

Simply a joy.

"Nut Brown"

So I find my day has been taken up by the mysterious "nut brown".

He was brought home yesterday. I first heard about him several days ago and it was mentioned that he may grace us.

You see caleb is in rabbit class. They have a pet rabbit. He goes by the name of "nut brown".
As the eponymous suggests he's a nutty brown colour. Though it was perhaps darker in my opinion. Oh and he's a cuddly toy.

Yesterday was caleb's turn to bring him home. If I'm honest I frowned and thought "goodness me". However, I watched this boy becoming transfixed with this rabbit. He asked whether "he could show nut brown upstairs and his bedroom?". He went round talking to it like an honoured guest. Indeed it was his honour to welcome the rabbit her and be privileged to be the one to show him his home, meet his family, play with his toys and even share his bed.

It's a flipping cuddly rabbit and I keep finding myself thinking about how lovely it was having him albeit briefly in our lives.

Goodbye "nut brown".

Slicked back hair

When I was younger and my father forced my hair back to show my forehead. I was always told how different and cute I looked. I used to hate it. Now I find myself admiring my kids in a similar manner.

And yes I did have hair once upon a time.

Coffee shop

I'm sitting in a coffee shop waiting to go back to pick up the fam. It's caleb's birthday and I have a rare moment to sit and sip. Every now and again the world seems to stop and just for a moment I feel like a spectator. This is one of those moments. Only five minutes left though.
